Privacy policy
Last updated: 4 November 2026
This policy explains how SIA “Payro”, trading as Datobex, handles the personal data of people who visit datobex.com, contact us or work with us. If anything is unclear, write to deals@datobex.com.
1. Who is responsible
SIA “Payro” (Datobex), registration no. 40203752022, Ārlavas iela 23, Rīga, LV-1004, Latvia, is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. For all privacy questions, contact deals@datobex.com.
2. What this policy covers
- visitors to datobex.com;
- people who send us a message through the contact form or by e-mail;
- our business contacts: insolvency administrators, liquidators, company owners and directors, AI companies and other partners.
3. What we collect
- Contact form: your name, e-mail address and role (for example, insolvency administrator), and, if you choose to give them, your phone number, company name, country and message.
- Correspondence: e-mails you send us and notes of our conversations with you.
- Technical data: when you open the website, our hosting provider automatically records your IP address, browser type and the time of the visit in server logs, to keep the site secure and working.
- Language choice: whether you read the site in English or Latvian is saved in your own browser, so the site opens in the same language next time. It is not sent to us.
We do not ask for sensitive data. At the first stage, please do not send us files or other people’s personal data: a short description of the company is enough.
4. Why we use it, and on what legal basis
| Purpose | Legal basis (GDPR Article 6(1)) |
|---|---|
| Replying to your enquiry | Your consent given in the form (a), and steps you ask us to take before a possible agreement (b) |
| Preparing, signing and carrying out an agreement | Contract (b) |
| Keeping in touch with business contacts and keeping records of our discussions | Our legitimate interest in running our business (f) |
| Keeping accounting and contract documents | Legal obligation (c) |
| Website security (server logs) | Our legitimate interest in keeping the website safe and working (f) |
You can withdraw your consent at any time. This does not affect what we did before you withdrew it.
5. Who receives your data
We never sell or license the personal data of people who contact us. Your contact details are not given to AI companies or other buyers unless you ask us to introduce you.
We use service providers who process data on our behalf and under contract:
- Formspree, Inc. (USA), which delivers contact-form messages to our mailbox;
- our e-mail provider and our website hosting provider;
- our lawyers and accountants, who are bound by confidentiality.
We may also disclose data to public authorities when the law requires it.
6. Transfers outside the European Union
Formspree is based in the United States, and other providers may also process data outside the EU/EEA. Such transfers are protected by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or by the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. You can ask us for a copy of these safeguards.
7. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to an agreement: up to 2 years after our last contact.
- Data related to an agreement: while the agreement lasts, and afterwards for as long as needed for possible claims and as required by Latvian accounting law.
- Server logs: for a short period, normally no longer than 30 days.
After that, the data is deleted or anonymised.
8. Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask what data we hold about you and receive a copy;
- have incorrect data corrected;
- have your data deleted;
- restrict how we use it;
- object to use based on our legitimate interest;
- receive the data you gave us in a common electronic format;
- withdraw your consent at any time.
Write to deals@datobex.com. We reply within one month, and may ask you to confirm who you are before giving out any data.
If you believe we handle your data unlawfully, you can complain to the Data State Inspectorate of Latvia (Datu valsts inspekcija), Elijas iela 17, Rīga, LV-1050, www.dvi.gov.lv. We would appreciate the chance to resolve your concern first.
9. Cookies and tracking
The website does not use cookies, analytics, advertising or tracking tools. The only thing stored in your browser is your language choice (see section 3).
10. Security
We protect personal data with appropriate technical and organisational measures, such as encrypted connections, restricted access and two-factor sign-in.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top always shows the current version.
